Vintage Dresser in White and Mint

How much good details can we throw in to one piece of furniture??
Check out the design on these drawers? Look at the gold chain hardware!
And, the white and green are so gorgeous together!

Oh, hello gold chain hardware!  Where have you been my whole life?

I posted a photo on Instagram of some possible options for this piece.  I knew I wanted to do white on the drawer fronts.  It gives them such a classic look.  The base, however, needed to be a different color.  This look gives it an updated, more modern style.  Most of my followers chose a color called, "Fountain of Youth".  It was a gorgeous soft aqua but I wanted green.  I'm not sure why, but that's what I was feeling for this dresser.

I can see this piece in a variety of different rooms.  It has TONS of storage and is very well made.  It is listed on my Etsy shop, The Turquoise Iris.  Let me know what you think.  And, if you are not already following me on Instagram, please do so!  Come on!! @theturquoiseiris

Happy Wednesday,

Modern and Feminine Dresser

Like cotton candy and gum drops, this dresser is surely to sweeten your taste buds! I've been craving pink and when a friend contacted me about this piece being for sale, I immediately snagged it.  I love the curve of the drawers and the all together modern design of this vintage dresser.

I highlighted all drawers with a light turquoise, replaced 4 of the bottom knobs with these modern glass ones from Anthropololgie and lined the drawers with fresh new pink polka dot paper.

Some of you may pucker your lips with more of a sour taste in your mouth, but that's okay.  Sweetness is sometimes hard. Enjoy your Tuesday!

Mid Century Indigo Blue Mini Bar

Good morning, friends!

Nothing is better than blue and gold together...really, so chic! I love this solid wood vintage mini bar and the original hardware pops off the indigo paint color. I think this piece lends itself to both a masculine and feminine side, don't you?

It is truly a one of a kind. This was originally made by Penguin Refrigeration from Springer Industries, Long Island, NY.

Other uses for this fella could be a jaw dropping entry or foyer table...or, really anywhere you need to have a little storage.
If interested, yo can purchase this on my Etsy shop,

Teal Buffet / Dresser

Bold character and charm here, my friends;)

Inspired by Mexican buildings,
I painted this dresser in a dark teal with a sunny yellow accent. I topped it off with heavy distressing and an espresso stain to add depth and old world charm.
I kept the original brass hardware
because the contrast of color is beautiful.

Not my normal refinishing style, but if it's teal...I'm gonna love it! This dresser was tired and boring but in exceptional condition.  So, in order to make it a statement in today's homes, I went bold!

I would love to see this hanging out in your dining room as a buffet to store linens and Fiestaware dishes! Or, use anywhere really...even in a sweet baby nursery.

It could be yours:)
This is available to purchase here on Etsy. com

Got Gloss?

I have sanded, primed and painted this beautifully shaped round table in a bright glossy white. I kept the original hardware on the table...
I LOVE the contrast of the old vs new.

Use beside your bed as a lamp table or in your living room next to your sofa or favorite comfy chair. I think this would look great next to a platform rustic bed, contrast is key to great design.

As usual, this table is ready to be purchased

Call It What You May...

Vermilion, Persimmon, Salsa Red, etc.
This color is hot hot hot for this
Fall season!
I had to have me a taste of it!
Here is the table I started with below.
Sorry for the bad phone pic:)

We've seen this great mahogany style table many
times over the years,
but I have yet to see one like this now!

I can see this coffee table paired with a clean lined modern sofa plus two chairs covered in an
ikat or suzani printed fabric.

I l-o-v-e! ;)

peacock fan chair in this beautiful royal / cobalt
blue color and I think it is a perfect way to add a modern
eclectic look to your living space.

I can see this chair in a coastal cottage, a turquoise
and yellow sun room or in any room to add
a boho chic vibe!
