Copper Crushing on this Table

Copper is coming back in a HUGE way!  So, I started with it on this table.  The entire top is a metallic copper and fades in an ombre finish.   Next, is bronze. Then, gold and champagne. I had a copper patina look in mind when I chose these turquoise knobs.  I lined the drawers with some peacock paper.

The amazing Santa painting was painted by my brother in law.  He sells them in all colors.

"BEFORE"

I'm taking a break from painting over the holidays so I hope you all have a very merry holiday season!!

Ombre in Shades of Blue

I've never attempted an ombre finish before and this week I did two!  I had so much fun mixing 8 different colors to get these 5 I used here on this antique dresser.  I added the blue mercury glass knobs and I think they look like little jewels. Overall, this was one of my most fun pieces to ever paint. Hope you enjoy the "before and after".

My brother in law painted the large Santa painting for me last year.  Isn't it gorgeous?

Here is the dresser before I painted it...

I'll be linking this dresser makeover up to Miss Mustard's Friday Furniture Feature. Click the link and take a look at all the amazing makeovers!!

Happy Friday!

White Campaign Desk in Glossy White

This is it!  This is the one I'd keep if I needed a desk. I love the glossy white finish I used paired with the original black leather.

Since I forgot to post this lat week, it has actually sold already but I still wanted to share it.  This desk is headed to Scottsdale, AZ!  Can you say, "Jealous!!" I want to go too.

Oh, You Sexy Little Thing!

When the weather gets cold and cranky, I tend to paint less.  These last few weeks have been filled with the marketing of vintage furniture rather than painted pieces.  I love searching for cast offs that can be cleaned up and flipped on my Etsy.com shop, The Turquoise Iris

This little gem here, was once ( see before photo below ) tired and boring.  I didn't have to do much to it all. Then, BAM... it's al sophisticated in this black and white look.  I love how it turned out! Plus, it felt really great to have warm enough weather to get some painting done.

See that round one on the right? It will be next!

Hope you all enjoy your day!!
