I love to create one of a kind - always unique and original.

I create new from old with as much color as possible.


I started my shop because this is always what I've done, Etsy is just giving me a resource to make a living and this blog is another creative outlet for me.  I am at a point in my life, with two boys in school, 1 happy husband and an opportunity to create daily...I could not be happier. Thank you, Etsy!

I have always dug through junk to find myself a treasure. I pride myself in finding one little mint item and seeing it's potential. I have always loved to paint and decorate, from doll houses to my own real life size doll house. I started turning the Turquoise Iris in to a daily career once my youngest started 1st grade. 
My heart beats...
My story is short and simple so far. I am working to build it and am open to new possibilities and opportunities. I love mentoring ladies in similar situations as me...there are some extremely talented ladies out there and hope to meet each one and learn from them!

    Hi Dionne! My husband and I LOVE your work. We are in need of a large dresser for our bedroom and a headboard for our king size bed. I would love to purchase from you, but i cant seem to figure out how to get a hold of you. What is the best way to get in touch and would you be willing to make something for us?     Hi Dionne,
    I love your style, you are very talented. Looking through your blog is such an inspiration for me... and it also gives me hope. My youngest son is going to start school this year so I'm starting to think about opening an etsy shop with my furniture too... I am located in France. I don't know how to get around the problem of delivering big pieces of furniture kilometers away from me...
    Anyway I wish The Turquoise Iris a bright future ahead!
