What? I Used Gray? No way!

For those of you that know me personally or have followed me for awhile, I don't paint gray unless asked to by a client.  So of course, I painted this for someone very special who also happens to be family.  She wanted gray with pops of color.  I love this combination and I think by adding the orange to the gray, gives it a modern color scheme, perfect for this gorgeous young lady.  I'm so glad she requested gray. It's definitely growing on me!!

I added the new knobs along the top to add in the turquoise she loves, too. I'm telling you, I may have to try this combo again soon. It's so happy!

You all have a wonderful weekend and enjoy the sunshine!

Blue Ikat with White and Gold

Give me ikat, give me blue and white, and give me gold? You have me forever! I love this designer combination. This finished piece reminds me of a coastal beach house right out of Serena & Lily catalog.

I've painted the base a creamy white and highlighted the feet by adding a shimmering gold. Hardware has been painted the same gold. I added the designer ikat paper to the drawer fronts for a unique one of a kind look!

This piece is looking for a home!  You can check it out HERE. I hope some sunshine finds it way to you today! Happy weekend:-)

Mid Century Dresser in Yellow & White

This is for all of my mid century friends.  I painted this in the perfect shade of yellow for a modern, clean and fresh look.  The chest in is near perfect vintage condition and solid wood.  I think I have a crush...

I simply cannot be pinned down to one design aesthetic.  I am eclectic, love all furniture styles and just love to paint. This chest is available on my Etsy shop, The Turquoise Iris.

Falling Hard for Sapphire Blue

I have just as much fun styling a piece of furniture as I do actually painting it.  So...I have again, styled this accent table 3 different ways.  Let me now which
one you prefer;) just cause I'm curious.
Matching dresser will be done soon and
I will style that 3 ways, too!
Below is the booooring "before" picture.

After some more sanding, priming and painting, this Mid Century Modern side table turned out pretty great!

"Vintage Modern"

"Traditional Modern"

"Coastal Modern"

Now it's time to work on the coordinating dresser!
This table is for sale
HERE on my Etsy shop, The Turquoise Iris!!

ONE DRESSER, STYLED 3 WAYS

I just finished this dresser last night and began styling
it this morning.  I can't decide which way I like best,
so I'm sharing three different ways.
See what you think!
I would LOVE to hear the style you prefer:)
First, here is the before...

And after...

"Preppy Chic"

Or...

"Modern Eclectic"

Lastly...
"Youthful Mod"

It's always so fun for me to play around with different accessories and see how many vignettes I can come up with, especially for dressers!
What's your favorite?
As usual, this piece is now for sale
on my Etsy shop, The Turquoise Iris!
