Dresser Makeover Trash to Treasure Style

High Style Mid Century Modern! 

I am so happy with this piece! It may have started out, ugly, dated and sooo tired but it turned out so very cool.

The gorgeous hardware is original to this piece.  I just sanded the nasty black paint off of it. 

This piece evolved as I went.  It is NOT my original plan. So keep in mind...  this is so much harder than it looks! I really do love the end result, though.

The Royal Blue Peacock Buffet

I present to you, Her Royal Peacock.  

This piece turned out very dramatic.  The blue, with the gold, combined with the peacock makes for quite an appearance! 

I think she is just. so. lovely.

This is a poster applied to the doors, not paint.  I sold this piece before I could even post this but I still wanted to share it.

Big Sister Suited in Teal and Navy

So this is the "big sister" to the piece I finished last weekend. 

I have turned this vintage phonograph cabinet into a modern day piece, to be used anywhere you need storage. All record pieces have been removed, the center has been turned in to a chalk board. 

I replaced the old pulls with new GORGEOUS ones from Anthropologie.

I just finished this dresser last night and began styling

MID CENTURY DRESSER IN SUNSHINE YELLOW

Happy Friday, everyone!!!

Flea market find....blond retro dresser. :(

I am loving the hardware most, the shape is awesome and I know I can do something with it to bring it in to 2012.

Here is the "before"  See what I mean?

This retro mid century dresser drips with coolness! I would love to keep this one, place in front of my turquoise entry wall and hang a vibrant piece of art above it. But, I must sell;)

I have sanded, primed and painted this dresser in sunshine yellow using Benjamin Moore Paints. Use anywhere in your home for style and impact! It's definitely a show piece. I could see it in your bedroom but also think you could us it as a tv console in a modern living room.

MID CENTURY MODERN CABINET

This piece of vintage Lane furniture was already great when I purchased it,

 but it did need a new finish on the top.  

So, I sanded, re-stained (look how well it matches) 

and put a fresh coat of poly on to protect it 

for many years to follow!

  How many things could you use this for? The obvious..

.to hold your records, but for the rest of us who 

don't have any, maybe a tv console? Let this fella 

hold your movies, cd's, or books. Use as a side table, 

entry table or an apartment size buffet. 

Endless possibilities...really!!
