Before & After Buffet with Tribal Accents

This was one of those shopping / searching weeks I wish would come every week! I found the styles of furniture I was looking for and starting planning makeovers even before I left the store.

These knobs are fabulous, right?!?!??! Anthropologie is the real M.V.P.!!

I found this tribal paper on Spoonflower and the hardware from Anthropologie. I custom mixed the paint color to pick up the clean fresh green shade from the arrows. I may have jumped up and down ( you'll never know ) when I found those feather knobs!

This piece is available on my ETSY SHOP as of today! I hope you all have a fun summer weekend!

Perfect for a Princess

This piece belonged to a friend of mine and he offered it to me for helping him move recently.
Nice, right? This is a gorgeous piece, well made and I hope I did it justice, considering it belonged to his grandmother.

I used Annie Sloan chalk paint again in Aubusson Blue.  I also added a little Old White to the blue for the drawer fronts. The top ones are covered in wallpaper.

As usual, these gorgeous peach and brass nobs are from Anthropologie.  They pull a little warmth from the paper and I love how they pull the whole look together.

Hope you enjoy this before and after.  I'm off to add this one to Miss Mustard Seeds Furniture Feature Friday!!

Oh, This Enormous Solid Wood Desk!

This was a beast of a desk, friends.  My sweet friend, Gina, found it a garage sale and asked me to paint it white for her.  She bought a new home and has gone back to school.  This piece gives her a perfect place to spread out and get some work done. I love the finished look!
I called her after I started painting it and asked if I could add a little "Dionne" to it:)  I could not resist painting those little feet a soft shade of turquoise and I added the knobs from Anthropologie. She was happy to let me as long as I didn't get too crazy!
She loves her new desk, too!  This piece will be around for another 60 years for sure.
Have a happy week, Everyone!

)()( Mid Century Modern Vanity / Desk in Magenta and White

How about this Mid Century piece? Isn't is so chic?  I love the white dipped legs and the new Anthropologie cracked glass knobs. I also added black and white dragonfly paper to all the drawers. Some one needs this in their modern living space, know anyone?

And the horrid "before" photo...
I haven't been brave enough to tackle that stool yet:)

This piece is available to purchase on my Etsy shop, The Turquoise Iris.

Art Deco Buffet in Mint and Turquoise

When I purchased this piece, there were red hibiscus flowers painted on the front doors.  Now, I love that beautiful tropical plant...just not on furniture.  I brought out several shades of blue and green for this one...( dreaming of the ocean )
Take a look at my newest painted piece!

Hello gorgeous knobs...so glad to meet again!

Teal Vintage Dresser / Buffet

I custom painted this piece for Erin of NJ.  She bought a yellow piece from me recently and wanted some color for her dining area as well. Hope she loves this!!

I also added these 2 cracked glass knobs from Anthroplolgie...in case this piece isn't dramatic enough...wink, wink;)

I found these lamps at a thrift shop for $6.98 for both and painted them this happy sunny yellow gloss.  I thought I'd just use them for staging, bit I think I really like them with my peacock shades.

This piece was already pretty great before...
take a look!

Teal & Yellow Vintage Dresser / Buffet

I just finished this piece for my parents.
The are moving tomorrow and plan to use this in their breakfast area.  It will compliment that round oak dining table that once belonged to my great grandmother.
I absolutely love the finished product and hope my parents enjoy it for many years to come!

Here's to a warm and delightful, new gorgeous home!
Cheers:)
