New in the Shop

I admit, I've been lazy lately.  Posting to my blog has been pushed aside.  After I paint, stage and photograph a piece I list it on Facebook, Instagram, Etsy and Craigslist.  After all that, posting on the blog sometimes doesn't make it.  But, I am back on board and I'm planning on sharing more in depth postings including more behind the scene shots and instructions (as asked from by so many) So please be patient with me.

Mid Century Dresser in Yellow & White

This is for all of my mid century friends.  I painted this in the perfect shade of yellow for a modern, clean and fresh look.  The chest in is near perfect vintage condition and solid wood.  I think I have a crush...

I simply cannot be pinned down to one design aesthetic.  I am eclectic, love all furniture styles and just love to paint. This chest is available on my Etsy shop, The Turquoise Iris.

Peacock Buffet in Three Shades of Fab

I'm sure I will get bored with this combination, but when? I love it!!

I painted this piece last week and sold it locally, which means no shipping.

Vintage Yellow Dresser Distressed & Accented with Teal

I've been craving yellow, although I think it's actual sunshine I've been after, this color makes me just as happy.  This dresser was pretty boring but in mint condition so I gave it a make over in yellow with teal accents.  

Whatcha think?

 This combination of rustic and glitz reminds me of denim and cashmere...sophisticated comfort.

Mid Century Modern Dresser, Color Blocked and Cool

MCM style dressers are super hard to come by these days! So, when I come across one, I jump at the chance to either paint or re-finish it. I chose to paint this one a gorgeous shade of blue and added the silver for a fun, mod, color block look. Oh my goodness...this one will be hard to let go of...I LOVE it! 

I don't have a particular style or furniture design that I love the most.  I tend to fall for pieces that are just pretty...I like pretty.  That's why my home is such an eclectic  mix of old and new, shiny and dull.  I just like pretty:)

Emerald Green Buffet / Dresser Distressed & a Shot of Cobalt & Feathers

 I've been dying to use my peacock chair to stage a piece...they are perfect together!

Mint and White Glossy Vintage Dresser

This beautiful combination on this dresser of glossy mint and white makes my heart smile. It is so refreshing, and the original brass pulls give it some sophistication. The look is clean and fresh and I L-O-V-E!

 I sort of hope this ends up in a sweet 

little nursery somewhere;)
