Vintage Distressed Dresser in Blue & Creme

I painted this dresser for a lovely couple expecting their baby girl in just a few weeks.  They have chosen a vintage inspired nursery with the colors of an English rose garden.  After looking over the fabric swatches and picture of the baby crib, they gave me the option to "surprise" them!

I love the new rose glass knobs.

I'm a little nervous...:)
Hope they love it as much as I enjoyed painting it:)

My French Cottage Side

A little chevron, a little toile, and a whole lot of color!!! I found these beautiful Anthropologie knobs first....then I found the perfect dresser, instead if the other way around. I love the blue hiding behind the black and white toile glass front. I think the dresser turned out wonderfully and could serve so many purposes in your home. The top 4 drawers are covered with green chevron paper, isn't that pretty?

I painted it green and the drawers are creme with heavy distressing. There are 9 drawers total, ALL of which are LINED with printed PAPER:) for hidden charm. this piece is solid and heavy and in great vintage condition. I am very proud of this girl!

...AND THE LITTLE DESK SAID, "PLEASE HELP"

Maybe I should have walked away...actually, I have had my eye on it for a couple of months now. I decided it was just waiting for me, so I loaded it up, brought it home.
See the before and after below;)

Oh my, right?

This beach cottage inspired desk has been painted white and the 4 larger drawers are 4 different shades of blue! Heavy distressing on the drawer fronts nicely compliments the clean white mid century desk. Original fabulous hardware was kept on the drawer fronts!

This desk can be purchased HERE on my Etsy shop!

Summer, after all, is a time when wonderful things can happen to people. For those few months you’re not required to be who everyone thinks you are. The fresh cut grass smell in the air & the chance to dive into the deep end of a pool, gives you courage you didn’t think you had. Summer just opens the door and lets you free.
